A whole cream landscape and the search of a diver's mask

My house is studded impressive with icicles. The heavy snow thunders off the roof at night. I wake up and I think of King Bore bursting out in cold anger..

This is our present Gotland environment right now.

The temperature is more pleasant here in Gotland than in most parts of Sweden - which boasts some unbelievable 35 C degrees below and more in some places. The surrounding Baltic acts like a "heating" instrument here still. But not for long. The ice is now rapidly forming a lid on parts of the Baltic - for the first time in decades.

Long shadows and no wind.

It feels like we are living in midst of a bowl of whipped cream!
Ok! The only thing we are lapping up are the fewrays of sun that occationally penetrates the dark skies. I am now off to the attic to look for my skin-diver's mask and snorkel! It is high time for a break now to take in some sun and  to swim in turquoise waters! This winter threatens to be a long one!
