We will feel like princesses in a palace! Right here in one of the hotels overlooking the Arno in Pisa

I hope I don´t have to sleep on that grand couch though! It might just contain that particular pea
hidden somewhere that can only be felt by princesses!

En route encore..

Today I left the island in a glittering, springlike haze. Small amounts of snow still lingering between the pines still. Kind of hard to take off on a glorious archiplago day as it was.
But I am off to Tuscany, Tuesday. Packed a micro suitecase and rode the bike to the little village.
Had a loveley lunch at the Hotel with Captain and Bengtsson. A huge Sunday crowd waited on the jetty for the ferry to return to the city. I was accompanied by Vera who had not been to the mainland since early March. On the bus to Stockholm we both immediately fell asleep.
Well in town I have to figure out what to bring on my trip to Tuscany. I´ll travel very, very light this time. The price with Ryanair was also very light. I´ll make some sandwiches and bring on board. So will Maria. (Who might do some business on Corse to see some skilled craftsmen for her trade; http://gardiner-draperier.blogspot.com/ )

We done this before to London with Ryan some years back and are well aware of "Ryanair"-routines....
In Pisa we will stay on an old palace like hotel by the Arno. Seep in the culture. And then to a Tuscan spa: Therme, in the countryside. There will be spring. Poppies will spread like red blankets over the Tuscan fields..
